Two-Bit Street

This is Two-Bit Street (Historic 25th Street in Ogden).
This is where I will be taking some art classes starting this next week; I am going to do a basic drawing and then a watercolor class. I love the look of ink sketches with watercolor and have chosen that as my medium. I will of course share with you my progress and you can judge if there is any hope for a textile artist to get out of her fabric box.

My first goal is to learn how to draw a straight line - check out the light post above - it looks heavily abused by godzilla. :)
I hope everyone is having a good weekend.

Straight lines?! Who cares, most of the greatest artists in the world do not draw straight lines. I love this drawing, it reminds me of a painting my Dad had a few years back. He sold it forgetting he told Nicole she could have it for graduating collage, Oh well. But it was done like your drawing. My favorit medium is ink and colored pencils and water colors with 2nd. They make each other Pop!
Miss you! Blessings Nanabuzlife

Anyone looking at your sketches would think this is your first medium of choice, not second or third! You've got more talent in your pinkie than most of us have in our whole bodies. I LOVE your 25th St. - it's one of my favorite spots! Hugs, the OTHER Cat in Utah

Looks to me, Cat, like you've busted out of whatever box you were in! You are one talented gal.

I hope your lessons don't spoil your art!

I think the most important part of the lessons will be to have fun....We are always our own worst critics so don't be hard on yourself, and don't forget where you left your fabric box, I will miss your stiches. BE BLESSED
